trillium are a bright, white, three petaled flower that grow in the wooded dunes around the eastern shores of lake michigan in the united states. the plants take between seven and ten years of growth before they first bloom, making the spots of white quite special if you wander across them during the right time in the spring.
the undyed bright color of the polwarth wool used in our yarn was a wonderful representation of the stunning impact of the trillium flower.
